Judging process

We promote and seek to attain both a diverse and inclusive profile for all our events, working groups, and judging panels.

Judges are non venue, independent judges, respected organiser, partner and supplier representatives within our industry - their insight and expertise will be invaluable in helping identify and celebrate the next generation of talent in our venues.

Judging will take place during October and will involve reviewing award submissions against the judging criteria.

Judging is completed in isolation to avoid any peer pressure and conflicts of interest. In the event of a tie, a further round of judging will be undertaken by an entirely new set of judges.

Each entry will be scored using the criteria indicated on the entry form. The scores will be collated by AEV.

The entry with the most points wins, AEV does not alter the results. If a representative for the winner cannot attend, the runner up will win.

The five (5) entries with the most points become the CLASS OF 2026.
